Play is an engaged mental state. It’s an embodied experience where enjoyment and engagement meet.
It’s the feeling of losing track of time.

She was triggered by her kids play...
And she HATED it. Imaginative play was overwhelming! She knew her kid wasn’t doing anything wrong. She craved an ability to be more patient, present, and engaged. The reality was, she didn’t remember how to play! What she needed was to rediscover HER play so she could join her kids play! With her love of creative play, TJ helped her explore what it means to create a new picture of parenting, bedtime, and playtime. She learned to be the creator of her own life.
She was accomplished but still felt lost...
She grew up playing competitive sports and then working the corporate ladder. When she started her own company and wasn’t on someone else’s “clock,” she didn’t actually know what freedom meant. She was the boss, but she didn’t feel like the boss! She kept pushing herself and chasing deadlines, but none of it felt FUN. Using her love on kinetic sports, TJ helped her engage in everyday movement play that liberated her mind and body so she could actually FEEL free.

They played quietly and out of people’s way. Following the rules and doing a “good job.” They received feedback at work that their skills were great, but they needed to develop more confidence. But, no one told them how? Using a love of storytelling play, TJ helped them find their voice through books, writing, and everyday role playing. Now, they know what it means to become a person who proudly takes up space, owns their desires, and feels confident in their life.

Your Mindfulness Guide & Play Buddy
As a trauma therapist of 10 years, I have experience helping those who are in a stuck place. This corner of the world is where I started my play, I learned my love of play, and have guided hundreds out of and into an embodied life that aligns with their values and joy. By understanding the role play has on your mind and body, you can form new patterns and transform your life.
Before play, I was burnt out by the “mindfulness” culture.
I appreciated the importance of stillness and breathwork, but there was no one teaching active expression and letting go.
I didn’t want more coping skills, I wanted more abundant living skills.
I didn’t want to increase my tolerance for hard sh**, I wanted to increase my tolerance for laughter and stupidity.
No matter where I turned, no one was offering what I needed. Classes felt about performance, control, skill, and perfection. I wanted community, joy, engagement, and liberation.
Relearning play recentered my play. It transformed every single part of my life for the better and I cannot wait to guide you on your own play mindfulness journey. And I cannot wait to help you rediscover your play.
